My Daily schedule during this pandemic.

Dear Gorgeous Reader,

Mostly like me, you are pretty done with the COVID 19 crisis. Depending on where you live there are different rules in place. Here in the Netherlands we currently no complete lockdown. A lot of companies like a restaurant, bars, and other non-essential places are closed. And made a shift to at home working or only delivery service. Now the contact jobs like hairdressers & estheticians are open for approximately a week. After being closed for 9 weeks. And for every person, there is a social distancing of 1,5 meters required.

We as estheticians here already work with strict hygiene rules, gloves and facemask on. So do i. But we come inside the 1,5 meter of the clients. So the clients are required to be symptoms free as well the direct people they live with.

So what do i daily to keep busy?

I did not have a great routine from day one. And that is totally fine! Trust me nobody had. Mine was sleeping in till I naturally woke up. And with staying up late combo. I can tell you that I was not productive at all. For the first few days.

Thankfully that changed. Keeping myself educated with online webinars. I followed one’s that were directly related to skincare. But as well some that make my work for the website better or more visible in Google. Still not an SEO pro but doing something I love with fewer website visitors is still good!

Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life

I started to move again as well. Since my normal routine was three times a week boxing, once a Yoga lesson and once a week strength-training in the Gym. Meanwhile biking everywhere I needed to be. That all stopped at once. Now the box trainer I came twice a week made workout plans to do at home. What was a blessing!!! So got me off the couch. I started with twice a week hanging my boxing bag up under the carport. With the help of some rope, carbine hooks, and some pulleys. That thing weighs 100 kg so hanging it is already a mini warm-up! Below I have a basic training session that I do:

3 min -> Jump rope
1 min -> Shadowboxing
3 min -> Free boxing at 80% of max
power.
1 min -> Rest
10-8-6-4-2 x
10 x Sit ups straight
10 x 2 x L dir -> R dir -> L corner -> R dir -> 2 x L dir
Then 8 x …… etc to 2 x
1 min -> Rest
3 min -> Jump rope
1 min -> Shadowboxing
3 min -> Free boxing at 80% of max
power.
1 min -> Rest
10-8-6-4-2 x
10 x Squats
10 x L dir -> R rise -> L corner -> R dir -> 2 x L dir
Then 8 x …… etc to 2 x
1 min -> Rest

10 x L / R / L dir -> Slip R / L / R -> R / L / R dir
Then 8 x …… etc to 2 x
1 min -> Rest
3 min -> 30 sec Free boxing at 80% of max
power + 30 sec Accelerate to max power 100% AND DONE!!!

Sometimes I am not in the mood to shadow box. I still feel a bit strange when I do it. So then do it on the bag without using strength. More focusing on the movement. Or replace it completely with another movement like squats, seal jumps, or jumping jacks. And further, I take 1 hour walks a few times a week. This gets me in the right state of mind and out of the house. I am now taking the time to do things that are important to me but get in the fast track of normal living snowed under by seemingly important tasks. I hope you are doing well and take time for yourself. And Yes! I do almost daily a mask on my face 😛
