The basics about perfume

Hello,

I’m writing this article with lots of rain and thunderstorms. Then nothing finer to sot warm and dry inside. Today I want to explain perfume in general. But first, some basic knowledge about perfume. Each fragrance whether it’s a eu de toilette or perfume always has a base, heart and top notes.

When you spray on a scent you smell the first the heart notes, middle notes and finally the base notes. For this reason, you should always test a perfume on your skin and give time to develop. You acidity of your skin determined whether the scent suits you or not. Also called your pH of your skin. That is why smells are so personal.

Never rub or hold your wrist against each other after applying perfume. This breaks the perfume as it were. You only smell the base notes.

Where to apply perfume? Always do it on warm places of your body where your blood vessels occur most on the surface. Like wrists, back/sides of the neck, behind the ears, elbows and back of knees. Where and how much you apply depends on  the concentration of perfume and personal preference. For example eau de cologne you can spray like the Axe commercial.  Don’t do that with an eau de perfume. People will smell you from meters away very strongly.

If you want to travel with perfume in your handbag buy a travalo. Before your perfume breaks in your handbag. You will cry because handbag and perfume are gone.travalo1

There is also a distinction on the concentration of the fragrances in perfume ingredients.

These include:

x17-0409_mini_knijpertjes_paars_1.jpg.pagespeed.ic.DsCNoebE8x Eau perfume from 20 to 10%

x17-0409_mini_knijpertjes_paars_1.jpg.pagespeed.ic.DsCNoebE8x Eau de toilette 5 to 10%

x17-0409_mini_knijpertjes_paars_1.jpg.pagespeed.ic.DsCNoebE8xEau de Cologne 5 to 2%

For this reason, it is wise to remember how long you want to smell a fragrance and how strong. For men it is differently because, the skin is oilier so a eau de toilette is usually enough. Personally I do not prefer eau de toilette or eau de perfume. For the simple reason that I find too expensive perfume in relation to content. Perfumes are usually only 30 ml. There also are different category’s within perfumes.
