Yes! I shopped finally at The body Shop again. The minimalist in me prevents me to buy everything. Thank god that that part a bit stronger in me than my beautyholic part. I was in The Body Shop in Amsterdam at Leidsestraat. Very nice person worked there that day. She had good knowledge about the products and about the skin. I saw on the site that they had a big body brush for dry brushing. For a couple of months i wanted to start it, but the brushes that i saw where not perfect to my idea. Many of them where the brush bristles to hard, soft, plastic and just weird shaped.
So this is what i bought. The intended brush, a face brush, camomile cleansing butter and a solid argan oil. As you may know is that The Body Shop doesn’t test anything on animals. They are for that reason cruelty free but there parent company L’Oreal isn’t. I don’t mind that for the reason i buy at The Body Shop, make there revenue higher and let there parent company think that cruelty free makes more money! Of course cant do it on my own but every little bit helps.
As you can see are the bristles long and made of cactus. The wood is from FSC wood witch means that it comes from a forest that they harvest responsible. Keeping in mind the ecologic, social and economical systems for now and the future. There are three category’s in wood: 100%, mix and recycled. This brush is 100% so the wood only comes out of FSC managed forests. The brush is particularly made for dry brushing of the body. And is not recommended to soak it completely in water. The price is € 14.00.
This very big can of camomile cleansing butter is the camomile from Norfolk, England. It is suitable for sensitive skin and they claim that it also removes waterproof makeup. I will make a review of it. Price is € 14.00.
This face brush is also of FSC 100% and has ultra soft bristles. Very silky like. I couldn’t find any where what of material the bristles is. Love that they added a rope so you can hang it up. Will test this out with the camomile cleansing butter. Price was € 10.00.
Hydrogenated Coconut Oil (Emollient), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Emollient), Octyldodecanol (Emollient), Copernicia Cerifera Cera/Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (Stabilizer/Viscosity Modifier), Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Emollient), PEG-8 Beeswax (Emulsifier), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Skin Conditioning Agent – Emollient), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Triethoxycaprylylsilane (Binder), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), CI 77492/Iron Oxides (Colorant).
Honestly commends me to say that this was a gift by a purchase above € 30.00. If you would buy it it cost € 12.00. Love the scent of it. It’s free of silicone’s and ethanol. So you can use it for dry skin patches and your hair. Not sure how i will use it. I may use it as a eyelash moisturizer? Not sure if this will work. Normally i take a picture of the ingredients, But it was divided over two pages. Not very handy to photograph.
See you next time.
